Comfortable Room With King Size Bed & (Shared) Bathroom

A spacious comfortable room with a king sized bed in a traditional Lakeland Cottage in the village of Clifton, just a few minutes from the M6 & A66, but perfectly placed to explore the Northern Lake District & Pennines). We are 10 minutes drive from Ullswater & numerous classic walking & trail running routes. Cycle routes 7 (C2C) and classic climbs such as Hartside, & Kirkstone are within easy reach & we are ideally located for John O Groats to Lands End & The Eden Valley cycle routes. A stone built 4 bedroom Lakeland cottage in the village of Clifton near Penrith. Central heating, double glazing and a recent refurbishment provide a private, pleasant and comfortable place to stay. Our home has (distant) views of the Lake District fells and the Pennines (weather permitting!). We are 10 minutes drive from Ullswater & numerous classic walking and trail running routes. Cycle routes 7 (C2C) classic climbs such as Hartside, and You will have access to the entrance hall, landing and your bedroom and a bathroom (This is not shared with any other guests, but we may use the bath or shower). Your room will be upstairs, and we live downstairs and you do not have to go through our part of the house to get in and out, so you can come and go as you please and have your own privacy. We live downstairs in the same house you will be staying in, but we will also provide contact details for you to message, text or call us if you need anything. Clifton is a small village in Cumbria, England (historically part of Westmorland) about 2 miles south Penrith. The village of has a church, primary school, and a pub; the renowned George and Dragon, which is part of the Lowther Estates. There is free on road parking. The bus only runs 2 days a week, so a car, or at least a bike are recommended to get around! We do not provide breakfast, but we do provide cutlery and crockery if you want to bring your own (the mini fridge is 10 litres), or can recommend several local options. The bathroom you will be using is only shared with us … we only use the shower and this is generally when you are out. We live downstairs and have our own toilet facilities. If you need secure bike storage, please contact us in advance. We can help with drying wet walking, running or cycling kit if needed. We have dogs (Margo the fearless Patterdale Terrier and Larry the inexhaustible Lakeland Terrier), but they are never in the parts of the house used by guests.
